Peanut


Description
A Jack Chi is a cross between the Chihuahua and the Jack Russell Terrier. It is a mixed breed dog. They can have the appearence of both parents with long erect ears and almond shaped eyes. They have a long muscular body that can be various colors.


Size
An adult Jack Chi weighs 5-15 lbs. and around 8 inches tall.


Coat
The Jack Chi has a short coat that requires minimal brushing.


Color
Jack Chis come in a few different colors including white, white and tan, tan, black, black and white, black and tan, and brindle.


Temperament
The Jack Chi is a sweet tempered dog that is happy, easygoing, loves people, adaptable, smart & trainable, and has a good sense of humor.


Care
The Jack Chi is relatively easy to care for. Clip their nails and brush only when required. Brush their teeth frequently and gently.


Exercise
Normal daily activities are all that is required for the Jack Chi. Playing ball or a short walk can also be beneficial to this breed.


Training
These dogs are very smart and train quickly. They also like to do agility type sports.


Shedding
Jack Chis are low shedding dogs and are a good for allergy suffers.


Barking & Howling
This breed is an average barker.


Life Expectancy
A well cared for Jack Chi can live 12-15 years.


Health
The Jack Chi is a healthy breed, but can show issues from either of the parent breeds.
